1974
Jack starts Penn Tank Lines with 4 trucks and begins petroleum hauling for Gulf Oil, delivering to PA, NJ, DE. -
1978
Jack is awarded all of Gulf Oil’s business. He expands
to 12 trucks and moves from the original office in
Malvern to a larger location in Devault, PA. -
1986
Penn Tank Lines affiliates with BMI Transport to grow its operating area. Deliveries expand to OH, New England, VA, MD. -
1995
Jack sells Penn Tank Lines to BMI Transport. -
1996
Jack re-acquires Penn Tank Lines assets as well as the Fleet Transport Company to form Penn Tank Lines, Inc. His son, Steve, joins the family business. Deliveries expand to FL, AL, KY, and TN. -
1997
Our company forms an affiliation with Genesis Transportation
and adds flatbed delivery services. We now deliver building
materials in IL, the mid-Atlantic, and New England. -
2001
Penn Tank Lines, Inc. moves its corporate office to Chester Springs, PA. -
2007
Genesis Transportation is acquired and our operations grow
in existing states. -
2011
Steve is named President of Penn Tank Lines, Inc. -
2021-22
Stardust Transportation, Jet Star, and CD Hallock Trucking are acquired to expand our aviation hauling services. Penn Tank Lines, Inc. delivery areas now include IN, SC, the Gulf Coast, and TX. -
2024
Penn Tank Lines, Inc. celebrates its 50th anniversary.
